I/O Concepts Announces New Strategy for ioEnterprise Product LineBellevue, Wash., December 10, 2008 — I/O Concepts Software Corporation, a provider of mainframe consolidation and management solutions, announced today a new strategy for its ioEnterprise line of products as a response to the needs of its customers and the requirements of today’s mainframe data center: to make it easier, more secure, and more cost effective to manage mainframe data centers. The new strategy provides focused solutions for the mainframe that completely manages the capture, consolidation, security, manipulation, presentation and auditing of an organization’s mainframe console messaging. The ioEnterprise product line is focused on the company’s flagship product, ioEnterprise Console Consolidation and Security (CCS). ioEnterprise CCS consolidates mainframe consoles and provides secure remote access to consoles across both private and public networks. This allows ioEnterprise CCS users to capture all mainframe console messaging, filter, consolidate, and color-code those messages, and provide them to data center operations staff in a single viewer to facilitate the identification of important events. A bi-directional connection then allows the user to securely access the host system to resolve critical events quickly. The ioEnterprise Automation product provides an even greater amount of control over their console messaging by allowing users to distribute events automatically based on rules, automate responses to common events, and send events to staff via email, pager, or SMS text message. The ioEnterprise Event Manager product furthers this control by providing advanced presentation features, such as the ability to sort and prioritize events. The ioEnterprise Audit Manager product gives corporations the ability to maintain audit trails of all mainframe console activity for compliance reporting. All user interactions are logged and maintained in a data store in concordance with compliance regulations and available for reporting. For companies who wish to include monitoring, secure access, and audit reporting for their hardware management consoles (HMCs), I/O Concepts now also provides the ioEnterprise SecureHMC product, which extends the reach of the ioEnterprise tools to the HMC. “By focusing on completely streamlining mainframe console management, our customers will no longer miss important console messages and can react to important messages faster with the ioEnterprise tools,” said Ed Doris, general manager for I/O Concepts. “What this means is that these companies can reduce the amount of resources needed to monitor and manage their mainframe data centers—they can even manage multiple data centers with just one staff.” The ioEnterprise product line is also designed to increase the security of mainframe console access and provide complete audit data for mainframe consoles. The products are also geared towards integration with other third-party management systems or trouble-ticketing software.
