Console Consolidation from I/O Concepts

With CCS(tm) from I/O Concepts you can distribute console sessions across your network. Your operators can access any console session from any workstation on the network. CCS offers multilayered user authentication so your operators can access and share their consoles both locally and remotely. All console data can be encrypted under SSL when operators connect to a console over the public Internet.

CCS's flexible audit trails and event logging help assure regulatory compliance with COBIT 4.0, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and HIPPA. Further, command suppression and monitoring tools assure that users enter only authorized commands.

Use the I/O Concepts SmartClient(tm) to consolidate messages from multiple consoles into a single display window. Use SmartClient's on-the-fly outboard automation to escalate messages that go unanswered and even email or page supervisors if a condition becomes critical. CCS offers multi-layered user authentication so your operations people can securely access mainframe consoles, both locally and remotely. CCS can authenticate a person based on user name, password, the workstation being used, or through LDAP servers to their RACF or ACF2 profile. All CCS console data can be encrypted using SSL when users connect to a mainframe session over the public Internet. Replacing unsupported 3174 controllers means much more than just replacing the hardware.

CCS and SmartClient authentication and security along with web-based remote console clients allow you to run DR operations from any PC that has Internet access. This makes it easy to run the data center from a remote operations site. Remote access allows you to set up disaster recovery sites that can remain in a lights-out configuration while not in use, but which can be powered-up to become your primary operations center when needed. CCS and SmartClient event management tools allow your mainframe operators to work more efficiently with the data they are monitoring.
